So much to do...

So much to do, so little time to do it.

Going to the US in ten days time and a thousand things to do first. Where do I begin? Probably with the dog walk, as her legs are crossed and her eyes are sloshing.

Yesterday was one of those days. Opened with an unwanted parcel from the ashamed dog who couldn’t quite make it through the night. Closed with an unwanted parcel from an unrepentant cat who just couldn’t keep down something she ate. In between, a few frustrations, anxieties, and panics about what I have to do.

Not to worry. Celebrations are in order for this weekend and everything else will fall into place, right? It’s all good, as my cousin is fond of saying.

Engagement party on Saturday night. What could be happier than the engagement of one of our sons to a wonderful young woman?

Thanksgiving dinner American style on Sunday afternoon with the extended family plus a few extras. What could be more fun than that – loads of turkey and pumpkin pie?

But before I start the shopping and prep, there’s a church mag to edit, a Christianity Explored course to prepare for tonight, and a dear friend to have a coffee with this afternoon.

It’s a good thing I’ve got help.

And now, to the desperate dog...
