Blueberry pancakes? Muffins? Pie?! Well, we have waited
about three years for this size of crop and it is delicious and fun to eat. It
may be a few more years til we’re carting them in by the bucket load and making
such anticipated culinary delights, but I am full of joyful expectation.
God plants seeds of fruitfulness in each one of us. Some come
to fruition quicker than others. Some are sweeter and others more nourishing. All
are meant for sharing, just like these blueberries.
Don dumped fresh cow manure at the base of each of these
bushes this year – perhaps the reason for their greater abundance. Sometimes
life dumps manure on us, too, and greater fruitfulness is the result.
If you are in a season of feeling dumped on, look up with
joy and expectation for how God is going to transform you. In everything God
works for the good of those who love him.
